My rolls are happening when I release the button, not when I press it, and when I have hold to roll enabled my character keeps rolling forever if I don't keep the roll button pressed.

as the title says. I'm using a side mouse button to roll if that matters somehow. I suppose the game has somehow assigned rolls to the key release action instead of key press, but that's probably wrong too otherwise it wouldn't just keep rolling. I have no clue what's going on and it's annoying me to hell because when I want to go fast I have to ruin my thumb spamming roll because I can't have hold to roll and my rolls often happen after I've already been hit because I press the button and by the time I release it my face (well, flaming eye) has already been mauled by a rat or something.
