Vintage Lane Cedar Chest (blanket chest / hope chest) for sale $200 OBO

Full-size vintage cedar Lane branded chest, made in Altavista, Virginia.  This chest still smells wonderful inside due to the cedar construction, and will keep things fresh and moth-free. Holds a surprising amount - I had over 6 sets of sheets, 2 blankets, and some other linens inside. Has a smaller felt-lined tray at the top. From a smoke- and pet-free home.

**Please note that this chest is** ***not*** **child-safe** \- the closure mechanism (for which I no longer have the key) cannot be opened from the inside, so it has been recalled by the Lane company. Suggested for child-free home. If you are looking for an effective child *trap*, however, adding some Lucky Charms to the bottom and propping it open with a stick would be highly effective.

Some scratching, especially at the bottom on the legs (see pictures). Has been priced accordingly.
