How to handle a form submit on a template just used as a base to extend from?
Hey y'all.
Quick disclaimer first. I've been put on this Django project made by my predecessor even though I had no Python experience and didn't even know the language other than the bare basics. If I'm asking something stupid or blatantly obvious, please let me know. Also not sure if the flair is correct.
So, the site I'm working on has a base.html template with a footer. In this footer, there's a contact form where the user can fill in their name, email, a subject and a message. I'm supposed to make this thing actually send an email (which is simple enough and actually built-in). The issue is that this footer is present on every single page. My knowledge of templates so far dictate that this call will end up in the [views.py](https://view.py) in the function corresponding with the template, which would mean that I'd have to add a clause for that contact form in every views function.
That seems rather inefficient imho. How would one tackle this?
