Flat tire - I think it's beyond the tire repair kit to handle?

Happened this morning, my car has no spare tire but it does have a tire repair kit - I have a mobile tire repair company coming out as I assume this is too much for the repair kit to handle. Does anyone with experience of a tire repair kit know the limits?
