Laptop Purchase from Bur Dubai

UPDATE: SHOPKEEPER AGREED TO TAKE THIS BACK AND GIVE ME A NEW ONE.

I purchased M5Pro from a shop in Bur Dubai two days ago, on October 17th.

When I got home and checked the Apple warranty page using the serial number, it shows the purchase or activation date as August 23rd, 2026, nearly 57 days before I actually bought it.

Because of this, my AppleCare+ window, which only gives you seven days to enroll from the activation date, is basically already gone.

I called the shopkeeper, and he keep in saying that Apple server is down and it will update in a few days. I'm doubtful, since the serial number check has consistently shown the same August 24th date every time.

Has anyone dealt with something like this in Dubai.

Should I escalate this to Dubai Economy and Tourism, or go straight to Apple UAE support?
