What are new concept / trends right now in that's making big differences in the embedded space?

I'm hearing things where an AI can hook up straight to a debugger and find all sorts of problems that would've taken hours, and Hil system running live road scenarios . There are concepts I hadn't seen in the last 5-6 years ago in a time that already seems a legacy of just straight forward binary if this, else that. While still relevant, things like Rest API, RTOS, CI/CD already seems to be a thing of the past.
