Acebeam Terminator M1 + Kids... A PSA?

I'm sure this is a broken record for most high powered lights. You can easily burn a hole through your pockets or packs with many of them if they accidentally turn on when you're carrying it.

Many of you have one now, or at least have seen the Acebeam Terminator M1 in action where the LEP, zoomed out, produces a focal point a few centimeters in front of the light that is absolutely intense enough to burn through just about anything malleable, including starting fires and instantly melting plastic.

Well, long story short, my siblings brought their families and visited over the weekend for a birthday celebration, and one of my young nieces thought it was a cool idea to go through my lights. She found her way to the M1, managed to switch it to the LEP to play with the zooming feature and ended up burning a poster that was on the table next to the M1. Thankfully the poster was thin enough that it just burned through it rather than had it catch fire, and her older sister saw it and put it out quickly.

But a cautionary tale nonetheless. Keep the M1, and many of these higher powered lights, away from young kids if they're around and grown ups aren't there. If they're playing with it, just keep an eye on them. I've kept larger lights like the K75, X75, MR90 all locked away or out of sight of the kids, but forgot about the unassuming little M1 that I've used often and was still on the table. Suffice it to say, now every single one of my lights have gone behind a locked glass shelf for when the kids are visiting.
