Micro Gimbal
Not sure if anyone is interested at all, but I have designed an ultra small gimbal. Its currently designed to hold an older AIO analog fpv camera using a Micro MinimOSD board for OSD.
It clocks in at 15.23 grams as it sits now. It'll be a touch heavier as I still need to attach the wire to go between my CC3D and the MinimOSD.
I decided to use a simple rack and pinion setup for the motion, as that was the smalled possible option to use with the little 1.5 gram linear servos, and keep weight down. Plus there's no finicky tiny linkages to attach the pan and tilt motion.
I'll be putting the files up on thingiverse at some point. I used a 0.2mm nozzle with my ender 3 pro with a sprite extruder. It's printed in ABS.
Just figured I'd share my work with y'all. This is for a sub 250g FPV plane I've been working on. It has GPS (ublox max 6q), the CC3D running inav 1.7.8, 3 servos for elevator/aileron/rudder, 2204 brushless on 3s powered by a super small 30amp am32 esc, and a fli14+ receiver. There's an ibus to ppm/PWM splitter running on a small rp2040 zero. cc3d with OSD and GPS can only do 8 channel PPM for input, I need 4 channels for control, 3 for flight modes, and 1 for RSSI, so the splitter splits ch1-8 (8 for RSSI) and 9-14 (14 for RSSI) so I can use channel 9 and 10 for the extra servos, and pass through the RSSI from ibus channel 14 to ppm channel 8.
