Dropped from Fraternity, What to do next
Brothers,
I am reaching out for advice on what to do next regarding being unexpectedly dropped from the fraternity.
To keep a long story short, 5 years ago I received the third degree at my home lodge in another state. I soon moved immediately after, and with work, COVID and going back to school I did not have the time to get around to completing my proficiency or keep in contact with my home lodge (other than paying dues notices).
Currently I have now found the time to get back into lodge and reached out to my home lodge to see if I could do a dual membership or if I could drop and admit here.
Today I received a correspondence from my home lodge telling me since I failed to pass proficiency within a year of receiving my degree I have to show cause to the WM, or be charged with un-masonic conduct. Since I haven't passed proficiency, the WM decided to drop me from the fraternity.
Does anybody have advice on what I need to do to remedy the situation? I have already reached out to a lodge here to join and had a dual membership petition ready to be filled out before I received this correspondence today.
Appreciate any advice or help you all can provide.
