Doggie knows when grief will get verified, and I do too

So we can all agree that it's a little suspicious that Doggie died at 97%, right? Like, he made it really far for a first attempt past tacos, and he died at a really stupid spot. Well, I have done some digging, and I have concluded that this was no accident. Doggie had died there on purpose. He clearly has the skill to beat it, and he knows exactly when he will.

First, lets look at the level The End is Here by Doggie. It's a great level, personally one of my favorites, but we're not here to talk about that right now. One thing I have found interesting about it is that unlike most levels, it doesn't end at 100%. It actually ends at 97%. Do you know what else ended at 97%? Doggies new best on Grief! From this, we can conclude that these 2 levels are linked it a way, and we can also conclude that Doggie's 97% death was intentional, and was made to be a clear sign that The End is Here has some meaning behind this. But how?

Well, if we look at the song in The End is Here, it is titled "I Know the End." This is clearly a sign that Doggie knows when the level is going to be beaten, and is continuing to play the level, making intentional deaths. But now 2 questions come up.

# Why would Doggie repeatedly die on purpose?

My theory as to why he would do this is to get more people interested in gd and to make more money. Doggie's 97% on grief is already really well known, getting covered in news articles and being added to IMDb. This is beneficial for him because the more people there are that play gd, the more viewers he will get, and in turn, more donations. Doggie has already stated in his last stream that his viewer count on the stream after 97% went up to 20K, which is an insane increase from his typical, lets say 12K viewers. If he is able to keep farming this level, then when he beats it, he will gain more popularity than ever before, so he will keep staying on this level until it's time to beat it.

# When will Doggie beat Grief?

Let's go back to The End is Here. The song used is about an apocalypse, as stated by the artist, Phoebe Bridgers. If we take a look at the Mayan calendar, the calendar ends in the year 2012, which was when it was believed that the world would end. Now, how many attempts does Doggie have in the last playable 20% of the level (80-99)? He has 12! And on his last one, many believed that the grief verification would end, but nothing happened, he just went back to playing Grief as normal.

So, in order to find out when Grief will get verified, we have to look at another year that had an "end of the world" vibe. And which recent year shut down the entire world and had a global pandemic? It was 2020! So, if we use are 12 attempts in the last 20% logic, then Doggie will verify Grief on his 20th attempt in the last 20%. But when will that be?

If we look at the average life expectancy of a dog, the average is around 12 years old. Do you know what else is 12 years old? Geometry Dash! So, Doggie has until Geometry Dash turns 13 before the grief begins, as most doggies, likely including him, will be dead before 13. Since he is trying to push this Grief verification as late as possible, he will verify it before Geometry Dash's birthday.

**Grief will be verified on August 12th, 2026. He will have 7 more deaths past 79%, and his previous best will be 97%.**
