We really need a "stop talking to me" button

Every single time my Zoi goes to the Gym or, really, any other public place, there's at least one NPC who decides that they really, REALLY want to interact with this complete stranger, to the point where my Zoi can't even work out in peace. The NPC doesn't do anything other than constantly queue up interactions, and once I cancel those, they just pile them on again. Even fully disabling all autonomy options doesn't change anything, nor does "block conversation interruptions".

While I have some nitpicks, this has to be hands-down the most annoying thing about the game right now. Has anyone found a remedy for that?

EDIT: Okay, small update. On closer inspection, I think this is even further-reaching than I thought. This affects a lot of things. For example, my Zoi was invited on a blind date. That's all fine and dandy, except her blind date partner immediately got completely swamped by three other Zois who stunlocked him in permanent conversation, which then escalated into a massive group activity. Maybe the game just needs a bit of tweaking on the NPC AI in general.
