Fedora starting with wrong power profile
Can someone point me in a direction of what to look into?
I'm using an ASUS G14, asusctl that's controlling the EPP and profile switching and the AMD-pstate driver set to active.
This issue randomly started and I can't backtrace to pinpoint any specific change.
What happens, is my laptop will be plugged in but seems to start up in energy saving mode. If I do a CPU stress test, I'll see my processor max out at 544Mhz and stay that way until I unplug the AC adapter, wait a few seconds, then reconnect it. Then it bumps up to full speed.
Things I've tried:
Disabling EPP being changed according to the power profile in the rog-control-center
Changing amd-pstate from active to guided, or passive
Various kernels from 6.8.11-6.9.7
I'm at a loss of where to look.
Thank you.
