Upgrading a Kingston A400 SSD Firmware from Live USB

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade the firmware of an A400 SSD from Kingston. I'm getting a lot of I/O errors and it appears that they may be related to the firmware. I created a live USB with Debian an installed kingston_fw_updater. https://gitlab.com/vinibali/kingston_fw_updater

After a lot of dependency trouble to get it up and running on Debian, it finally ran, but it won't detect my SSD on the GUI, but it will detect it in the command line (https://i.imgur.com/Spdb8Bv.png). I'm wondering if this is because the OS is running from the USB and not from the SSD that will be upgraded but I'm not sure. I've tried to run it with the disk mounted and unmounted, as root and not as root, but nothing works. I even tried creating folders under /opt/kfu/bin and /opt/kfu/firmware to see if it needed the bin and firmware to be there.

Does anyone have any experience with the tool?
