Moving from FL Studio to LMMS
It's been a number of years since I've used FL Studio. I switched from Windows to Linux back in 2018 so I haven't worked in anything like FL Studio in a while. Now I'm wanting to create my own music backing tracks again but I'm having some personal issues with the sound library in LMMS.
I remember FL Studio having a bunch of great sound files to create tracks with. I'm not seeing that with LMMS. I'd like to find some good free downloadable instrument samples of guitar, keyboards, bass guitar and synthesizer sounds. But all I'm finding on the internet are music sample sound effects. I'm hearing some great guitar sounds but they are just the whole sound clip I'm hearing. I don't want that. I just want one note that I can add to my song. Not an actual file of a song. Hope that makes sense.
I'm doing this because I want to be able to make my own drumless tracks again and be able to play along with them on my drums. Yes, I know I can download drumless tracks but I like making my own too.
So, is there anywhere on the web where I can download for free either single sample files or instrument libraries? The 3 or 4 places I've seen are mostly 8+ second melodies and I don't want that. I just want 1 note that lasts maybe 2-7 seconds or so. Not a whole melody of notes. They sound nice but I want to make my own melodies.
If anyone knows of a place to download .ogg sound files like this, please send the link.
