How do I actually improve my play as an "intermediate" player?
I'm a relatively new player, having first joined during the Avatar the Last Airbender set. Since them I've been able to play semi-regularly over the table between friends, family, and my LGS.
However, since the Secrets of Strixhaven Prerelease, I have been on a colossal losing streak. I played in 3 prerelease events and went 0-3 each time. I won a grand total of one game and I'm pretty sure the guy was just trying to hype me up.
Even now, my win rate in arena has crashed. I lose more than 80% of my games and I mainly play the Jump In draft, which is *supposed* to keep everything around the same power level. But I've simply played too many games with too many decks to just be getting "weak" decks over and over; and I haven't even come close to winning another game of commander. All my games since the SoS prerelease just feel like I start behind and only get more behind.
The problem is, I can't tell what's changed, or often what I've done wrong. I feel like I'm taking the time to consider my options and make the best play I can given my resources. After games, I ask for feedback and tips from my opponents when I can. There are just so many decision points before and during every game that it's hard to pinpoint each one (or any at all).
What resources can I tap to continue improving my play (or even just get out of this losing streak)? I'm beyond the basics, and "play more magic" doesn't seem to be working anymore.
Thanks for your time and I appreciate the help.
