Travel sized toothpaste tragedy

On a trip, got a the travel sized things for myself, shampoo, conditioner and body wash (perhaps this is a separate post, but the hotel had large sized dove every thing fastened to the wall so I used their stuff instead of what I bought) opened the toothpaste and this happened. The foil separated from the plastic coating. It left a little hole, just enough, for toothpaste to squeeze out. I’m at the end of my trip now and any comments as what to dp will be appreciated should this happen again, but I am in the airport now, board posting as I wait to board my flight to go home.
