Headlights going out "regularly"
Good Morning!
I have a 2015 Prius with a salvage title. Incident occured in back of vehicle and shouldnt affect any wiring or anything up front. I know it needs a new hybrid battery. I have a bluetooth reader and have run Dr. Prius to know this. I average between 35.5 mpg and 37 mpg, consistently. I tracked it for about a year. I just cant afford the battery these days. I will though. I know the car sat for MONTHS during the auctuion/repair process causing the battery to die. The vehicle currently has 99,902 miles and I have owned it since about 73K miles. I perform my own maintenance except tires mount, balance and alignment. I have replaced the water pump (posted about it and you can check my post history). Purchased in March of 2023.
Ok....so headlights. I replaced BOTH headlights about 6 months ago because 1 went out. 2 days ago, 1 went out again. Yesterday I cleaned up the connection to the one that went out, and now the other is out also. I had replaced them once before about 1.5 years ago. I wear nitrile gloves and use dielectric grease at the connections. Every time.
Anyone else having this issue or is this normal?
