[Discussion] Playing with yourself
Let's say - for argument's sake - that you had created hardware and software that can create a textured, rigged avatar of a person standing perfectly still for 1/125th of a second. And maybe it only took five minutes without any human intervention.
Sort of like this: https://sketchfab.com/models/ae824ff5bdc545b9959a33c1804e8d47
What if you wanted to create an automated process that would take one of these models as an input and generate a mod that you could drop into your game hierarchy and play as yourself without any real technical understanding required? Is that something that could be created with some effort?
I picture there being three distinct stages: there would have to be an empty body mod template created that would soon hold your model assets, there would be a conversion into the Skyrim skeleton and UV mapping, and there would be a process to marry the mod template with the character assets into a distributable mod that people could drop into their game.
Is there anyone here who would potentially like to be involved in a project like this? We can do pretty much everything I just mentioned but we are total noobs when it comes to Skyrim modding. Instead of trying to become an expert, we'd much rather work with that expert so we don't fall down every dumb rabbit hole.
Let me know if you have any questions.
