Amp Multi - powered by GaN, available now

Hi everybody! 🖖

Today is the official launch day for **Sonos Amp Multi**. I just posted about it over on the [Sonos Community,](https://en.community.sonos.com/product-updates/inside-the-amp-multi-gan-technology-8-channels-up-to-4-zones-6934613) breaking down some of the nerdy science, massive flexibility of multiple zones (up to 768 speakers in one Sonos system? yuup!), and what it’s actually been like consolidating four standalone Amps down into a single 2U unit at home.

There are a few interesting features that didn't make the post, so I figured I’d share them here:

* **Rear Output LEDs:** Each of the 8 speaker terminals has its own dedicated LED right above it on the back panel. When assigning outputs in the app during setup, the corresponding rear LED lights up so you can visually confirm which channel you're configuring without guessing. * **Audible Chirp Setup:** During initial setup, Amp Multi plays an audible chime for easy and secure configuration. That means no hunting for a tiny PIN or serial number while crouching behind a dark AV rack with a phone flashlight in your teeth. Those that have had to set up Port or Amp en masse know exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve spoken to some of you personally - we heard your feedback loud and clear, and I hope this improves your experience with installing these products.

Head on over to Community to read the full post [here](https://en.community.sonos.com/product-updates/inside-the-amp-multi-gan-technology-8-channels-up-to-4-zones-6934613). I’ll be hanging out in the comments (both here and there) if you have any questions!
