Picard Spoilers: question for people who don’t think of a certain character as the same person.

I was trying not to give the spoiler away in the title.

In Picard S1, Picard dies and his consciousness and memories are transferred into an android body. The show continues with the assumption that this is ultimately the same person. Some fans argue it isn’t Picard. So my question is: how do you feel about Spock? Spock transfers his “katra” (sp?) to McCoy, and that then gets transferred into a new Spock body. Is that not the same Spock? If it is, what’s the difference?
