400 Valentine days

My counter shows 400 days today! So this is my second sober Valentines Day in decades. Last year, every event was always tinged with “can I get through the first one sober?” Yes, as it turns out, I can. The absence of red wine at dinner tonight wasn’t even a thought until I started writing about this. Ya, vice grip booze held on my mind really has lessened (I know, I know, stay vigilant!) I even went to a Valentine’s dance party on the weekend. DJs, a bar, lots of people, and no temptation to imbibe. The warm pop kinda sucked, and so did my sober moves, haha, but whatevs, felt good to be out in the world again and not cave. Happy iwndwyt love day everyone!
