8 months in and just diagnosed with liver disease

I quit drinking nearly 8 months ago, but just had my first full physical done in years and was diagnosed with liver disease at 27. I can only imagine how much worse it was before I quit, but this is so jarring for me -- I knew I was drinking myself to death, but all I can think about is how grateful I am that I stopped and so glad that I'm actually in long term sobriety. This could be so much worse, but this is definitely quite a bit of an emotional blow and is not easy to process.
