my alcoholic boss says "you used to drink too much, now youre not drinking enough"

at my job at a restaurant, almost everyone is an at least semi functioning alcoholic. part of my pay is getting a "shift drink" with my meal every night! the past few days I have been opting for a ginger ale or root beer instead. My boss, a career alcoholic, says "whats with this not drinking?" as I reach for a soda last night. i said, "drinking too much!" and he laughed and said "you used to drink too much, and now youre not drinking enough!"

earlier in the night i had been shaking a bit, and he and my coworker say "drink too much last night?" and i said no, not drinking... and they said "theres your problem-- want a sip to start your shift? it helps" LOL!!! the cure for everything is alcohol..... not for me! not today satan! i was stuck in that cycle for so long. now i see just how much my thoughts and mood are ruled by it...

well, i am not drinking today. and i will go to work and continue to not drink, and continue to feel better. :)
