My dad had a stroke over a year ago.
My dad had a stroke in October 2021. He’s doing alright. It got really bad while he was working and was found on the floor. Immediately people who work with him called me and I was able to get to the hospital’s ER a bit after he got there and after 30-40 mins they let me in to see him and give them some medical background on him. I was in the same room he was in. He’s still actively having a stroke as they’re observing and giving him meds. I never got the chance to say out loud or talk to anyone about how traumatic it is to watch this happen to someone. I sat there for over 40 minutes and couldn’t do anything but watch how he physically had no control over his body. I just watched an episode of Grays Anatomy and the person in the bed was seizing and the movements gave me flashbacks of my dad and I literally started to shake and cry immediately. I just needed to type it out or something. That’s it.
