TPMS Subaru XV 2018 - Aftermarket

Hi, All.

Recently I had my TPMS replaced - it's an aftermarket - after installation the mechanic says, it's all up to me now - drive the car for 20 mins or so.

uhm.. it hasnt' reset. Going to drive it few more days before taking it back - tomorrow - going to do maybe 1hr drive none-stop (on a highway). Hoping it will finally re-learn?

what's my alternative - buy a "generic" relearn tool? I saw the autel maxi one -- can it detect anything or does it have to by of the same brand? Any alternatives for universal?

I'm looking for options - but definitely taking it back to the installer though.

\*\*edit\* - went back to the mechanic - he showed - seems all good his end as he took evidence of work don e -- but I drove it 1.5hrs still no good. he says he has to do research - apparently it happened to another car he did but not a subie. so next time i'm free is about 7 days from now. I'll take it back then
