Where is Subaru heading?

In the last few years Subaru has made some changes that I find surprising.

* First they axe the Forester XT. * Then they release the Wilderness Outback with a fun power train. * They keep the mediocre power train for the Forester Wilderness. * The Forester in Taiwan only gets a 2.0 n/a. * They announce the Solterra, with a max HP of 214. * Then they axe the STI.

I still believe that Subaru should have gone all in on Hybrids, Toyota have proven that Hybirds can be fun and fuel efficient. The RAV-4 Hybrid is not only more spirited than the Taiwanese Forester,. but gets almost double the MPG.

Do you think we'll ever see a sporty Forester again? Seems like the only major advantage the Forester has over the RAV-4 is the superior AWD, but for how long?
