Keep or Trade?

I own a 2020 Onyx XT with 51k miles. owned for 1 year and love it.

Tempted to trade up to a 2025 Onyx XT this week. Obviously it means financing more since it's new.

I feel like between the upcoming maintenance, and the higher interest rates im paying now, it might be a wise decision to get something new, and take advantage of the promo rate this month..

I like the idea of buying new so I've got a warranty and can get a car that will give me 5 years of worry free driving. Also, like the idea of getting one of the last 'real' Outbacks before the 26 model year becomes the norm.

My current car is in good shape I just feel like in the long run, I'd rather get out before the 60k service In any costly repairs that might come my way in the next few years if I keep this car. It's better to trade it now while nothing is wrong with it!

Carfax shows prior owner had an accident so 2 Dealers are offering me only 17K for my trade. CarMax offering $22k (allegedly)... So I'd probably have to trade it in one place and then buy new at the dealership.

Anyway, I'm just putting this out there and seeing if anyone was in a similar situation, what decision you made, And how it worked out for you!
