sci-fi paranormal recs?

hello!!! i have VERY SPECIFIC tastes in my things so im so sorry if this is like. obnoxiously picky. but im ITCHING to read something up my alley

i love sci-fi and mystery/thriller/horror type genres, but im looking for something that adds paranormal!

some books i love include king in yellow, house of leaves, etc. i’m planning on reading s. and headcleaner soon too, if that gives you guys any taste of my favorite flavors

im looking for something thats the book equivalent of an internet arg/webseries basically. bonus points if it takes place more modern day! like, extra major bonus points. i LOVE modern day books.

i would LOVE stuff about like. ghosts haunting technology, people trying to solve mysteries about people who passed away, anything thats more “shapes and concepts” or very technical in its science
