Looking for a book that combines sci-fi and fantasy

Good evening (or whatever time of day) I'm looking to get hooked on a book or series of books set in some kind of world where magic and technology exist at the same time. Like we might have flying cars, but our government is run by the council of mages. I really do enjoy a good world building, and after watching some vids on the setting for the new Tides of Numenera game, I was wondering if there were similar settings but in book format I could consume. Or anything along those kinds of thinking. All and any suggestions are welcome, and thank you for your time!
