Suggest me a book that is scientific and technical yet adventurous and emotionally full.

I just read Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir and I loved the entire journey. I have a background in engineering and the way Weir made his huge ideas as scientifically accurate as possible really tickled my inner nerd. And, IMO, he also made the characters very emotionally realistic, it had been a while since a book made me cry. I did read the Martian by Weir and the technical analysis was great, maybe a little over done at times, but it felt a little emotionally stale to me. I’d love recommendations for something similar. Thank you!
