Stationary shop in city

Hi, I am thinking of starting a mid size stationary shop with photo copy and print out in area where engineering students live.( I have never done business or anyone in my family). I don't expect massive returns I have realistic expectations.

Can anybody share there experience in running such shop.. if they can provide following input it would be great .

1) approx initial capital required. 2) approx income per month 3) is it sustainable or chances of shutdown like food business 4) running cost Etc
