Recovering from an Achilles tear, looking for ideas for an international trip during Thanksgiving

This is somewhat of kook question, but it didn't seem to explicitly violate the rules.

TL;DR: Ruptured my Achilles, beginner-intermediate surfer looking for an international destination to go to during Thanksgiving to have something to look forward to.

For more context:

I learned to surf in Lake Michigan, and I've done a few trips here and there since I left for Colorado (I still skate from time to time, and snowboard quite a bit in winter). My snowboarding season was cut short at the end of November because of a full Achilles tear, and after surgery it's going to be almost a year before I'm cleared for full activity.

I always get the week of Thanksgiving completely off, and it would coincide with my return to full activity.

Recovering from the a full Achilles rupture is a very long and slow process, and I'm trying to plan something to try and keep the stoke up for motivation.

Any ideas for places with consistent surf that a solo surfer could go to around that time?
