Let's Rank The Survivor Cambodia Episodes!
Even though there is only two episodes left, I think it is not too early to start ranking the episodes from your favorite to your least favorite. If you want to justify your picks, feel free to! If you don't, that's cool to.
1. You Call, We'll Haul- Easily the gem of the season. We got Abi being a stealth troll, Keith stealing to-tos, Savage flipping off challenges, Kass flipping off the contestants, and of course Wentworth playing her idol excellently. What else can be said.
2. Bunking with the Devil- This episode is an episode I keep going back to in my memory. Terry's evacuation is truly heartbreaking, especially on this season of Second Chances. However, despite the sadness of that and Stephen's confessional where he cries because he realizes that he doesn't have the clout to take out Joe, this is a shockingly fun episode with maybe the personality clash tribe to end all personality clash tribes in New New Ta Keo blindsiding Woo and two fun challenges with little character moments.
3. Second Chance - A great premiere with plenty of respect to the series, the contestants, the country of Cambodia, and the fans. Of course, we have Braceletgate but we also have the reintroduction of Varner, the coming out party of Wentworth, and the return of super nerdy Stephen- three contestants that the audience will be following through various parts of the season. Of course, the whole pre-game alliance is fairly obvious but at least Vytas is an unexpected first boot.
4. Survivor MacGyver- The highlight of this episode is Woo telling Shirin and Spencer no. Why? Because the episode shows that there will be constant shifts in power throughout this entire game and anybody can be on top for one vote and gone in the next one. Just ask Shirin.
5. A Snake in the Grass- After all of the Ta Keo/Angkor drama, we finally get a peak at new Bayon's dynamics and it's interesting. Of course, maybe the most memorable moment is Stephen scoring the point for Angkor. But, this is the episode that we see the strong bond between Stephen and Jeremy on major display for the first time as they team up to take out Monica. Her blindsided face along with Kimmi's smug smile and Spencer's facial realization of what is going on is fantastic.
6. Play to Win- Merge episodes are bound to be crazy and this one was no different, especially with two tribe swaps. The alliance talk dominates this episode. Even though we lost Kass in the episode, it frees her two closest female allies to start stirring their pots in her honor.
7. Tiny Little Shanks to the Heart- Definitely one of the more emotional family visits with everybody in tears, even Jeff. We also have one of the scariest aftermaths to a challenge ever with Joe passing out. Of course, some people feel that it is heartless or stupid to get out Joe after that performance. But I disagree. The fact that he was willing to push himself to the point of passing out just to win Immunity shows how much of a threat he knows he is.
8. Like Selling Your Soul to the Devil- The water ball challenge is great. It's nice to see some physical non-endurance comps every once in a while. The question of sit out or compete is really intriguing and definitely went better than what Production was expecting. The tribal is fantastic that ends with Jeremy's idol play for Stephen to take out Ciera. Why is it down here so far? i just don't like seeing people suffer, especially Stephen.
9. What's the Beef?- Varner's boot :( This cube puzzle challenge needs to be retired after all of the many potential injuries and actual injuries. Although the civil yet lively debate of Varner vs. Woo at Tribal is a major highlight, I just don't like this episode that much. Maybe it is because I love Varner, but I find it hard to watch.
10. My Wheels Are Spinning- I hate seeing this episode so low, but I have a hard time watching and knowing Stephen is going home. Folklore definitely bumped this above the 11 spot because Stephen's confessionals keep it low. :(
11. We Got A Rat- I feel sorry for Angkor. I feel sorry for Peih Gee. They were all doomed, although Tasha and Abi are still in.
12. Witches Coven- I know this is predictable, but I am still confused by Kelly's boot with her edit. I think it came out of nowhere. The fact that the highlight of the episode for me (Stephen misquoting MacBeth) happens in the first five minutes is troubling.
