Hi Sweden. How are you doing?
Hey guys. So the American right wing media reports a lot of how bad things in Sweden are because of the refugees. They always have this sensational headlines with a picture of riot police and burning houses in the background, always talking about how Sweden has become a failed nation.
Obvioulsly this is all exagerated. Also very hypocritical, since even if Sweden is experiencing a rise in criminality, the crime rate of the US is and always has been higher. So talking about a "failed nation", would imply that the US is one itself.
So, how do you people percieve the state of your nation? How much impact did the refugee crisis have on your life? Did you have any bad expirences? Do you think it is going downhill or is it a problem that you will be able to solve? Is it even a problem?
I'm from Switzerland and we have our fair share of refugees as well, specially from Eritrea. The only bad expirience I had was kind of a bar fight, where one of the refugees got hit with a glass bottle on the head. The other guy, a Swiss guy, was obvioulsy drunk and spitting some racial slurs, so I think he was the one initiating the violence. The only other thing about the refugees I hear people complain about, is that they're always hangig around train stations getting drunk and talking very loud in their foreign tongue. Also of course, that they are just exploiting our welfare. Otherwise I haven't noticed any rise in violence or crime.
So, please share your stories and opinions and how things are really going up there.
Greetings from Switzerland!
