MY FIRST SWITCH IS ARRIVING TODAY- What games should I buy??

I’ve wanted a switch for years and finally made the purchase! There are a few games on my list that I haven’t played before, and I’m hoping for some other suggestions!

The two games that I’ve really gotten into are stardew valley and hollow knight, as a kid I also loved super Mario world 2 on game boy.

Things I think I’m looking for in a game: cozy, creepy, rpg, great story, pretty animation (2D animation is a plus!), Platforming, discovery, and/or a tear jerker. I think what I’m really looking for in a game is discovery- whether that’s discovering new places via exploring, discovering new things about the characters, or discovering via the storytelling of the game.

I’m not a huge fan of shooter games or simple task oriented games (think like cooking games or something).

This is my list so far of games I want to play:

-Silksong (big hollow knight fan, will have to play at some point)

-Legend of Zelda series (can you believe I’ve never played before)

-Hades (only heard great things, seems fun)

-Resident evil series (interest peaked thanks to Smosh lol, and I’m a big fan of spooky stuff)

-Spiritfarer (seems like the pretty and heartfelt story telling I’m looking for?)

Anyways do you guys have any games you’ve enjoyed that seem like they would fit my vibe? Or any suggestions? Thanks for any help!
