I really love this champion but Im not sure if its even worth to pick him up

Just the fact that Riot made him AP alone is so bad... Cant buy defensive boots without losing like 20% of your (already pretty low) damage, cant buy AD items that synergize with his kit like Steraks or Cleaver or Deaths Dance and Guardian Angel, which would be such a good build (Zhonyas is probably the only AP item I can think of that has good synergy with his kit),...

Then his heal. Its a huge part of his power budget but it can be almost cut in half and rendered pretty much useless by items and a summoner spell that can be used by every champ in this game. So whats likely gonna happen here is that low elo players see the big heal and complain about how broken this new champion is without thinking about why or how it might be balanced. And since ~90% of the community is in relatively low elos, Riot is never going to let Sylas be viable outside of those elos. I used to main Fizz, I dont want to deal with that again.

Personally, Id really advise Riot to change Sylas to AD so he can build the items I mentioned earlier. I just dont think the champion can be balanced like I think Riot wants him to be. You cant build full AP and play around your cooldowns to survive when everything kills you in 1-2 seconds or less, and when every single spell you have is clunky as hell except W and the first cast of E.
