Silly question time about Server 2012 R2

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, we all should be aware that Server 2012 and 2012 R2 go end of support in a week.

So here comes the stupid question. Will next Tuesday be the very last set of updates released for 2012 and 2012 R2? Or does it mean there won’t be any updates for 2012 and 2012 R2 on Oct 10th.

I get the feeling that on Oct 10th, Microsoft will release the very last set of updates for 2012 and 2012 R2 with nothing else coming out (unless you pony up for paid extended support).
