Jumpcloud LDAP with a Mac used as a server and client

I am trying to determine a way to authenticate against a file share on a host that is a Mac with another Mac that is a client. We are using JumpCloud (free 10 machine tier) and have issues when a password policy requires a change and a user needs to connect to said file share. The share seems to hang on to the previous password and will not update unless the user logs into the server, directly.

What I would like in a vaccum: As an end-user to be able to sign into my MacBook and connect to the fileshare with my current JC password. I have tried the JC native LDAP method with no luck. It is unclear if all participating machines need to be bound with LDAP or if I can get away with this by using the agent on the client and LDAP only on the server. I also followed this article with no luck: [https://labzilla.io/blog/jumpcloud-ldap-bind](https://labzilla.io/blog/jumpcloud-ldap-bind). If anyone has a suggestion or a definitive answer on how this can be accomplished, I would be grateful.

Please and thank you, in advance
