"How To Sysadmin" Post from many moons ago

Not sure if I saw it on Reddit or on Github, but I remember a "How to become a sysadmin from zero" which involved starting from scratch, installing and setting up a hypervisor, then setting up AD, tearing it down, then setting it back up again, then setting up backups, then tearing it down, then restoring from backups etc etc.

I was wondering if anyone recalls this post or has links to it?

I have a friend who is wanting to get into IT and thought that this would be perfect for them to get their feet wet with some "real world" tasks.
