Rediculous way I lost 3 hours of progress

(Remake) So I'm low health and make it back to the surgery machine, climb in to heal up. Some mutant comes out of nowhere and hits me and I die as I'm climbing in. It overrides my autosave as I'm climbing at the same time, so everytime I reload it's the moment I'm dying over and over.

Previous save file made was ~3 hours ago... so that's cool.
