How can I help mod makers?

I'm going to buy a somewhat niche board game when it comes out. Due to it's small following I'm guessing it will take a long time to get onto the Workshop so I want to know if there's any way I can somehow help the few (if any) modders. I have no knowledge on coding, design, scripting etc. but since I will have a physical copy maybe I could scan the cards or something.
