Issues with TTS

So frustrating that everytime I try to play it always screws up.

When I pick up and drag objects across the screen it creates a selection box rather than just picking up and moving the object. Always leads to me shifting a lot more than I would like to.

Has anyone found a solution to this? I've been suffering from this issue for the entire time I've owned TTS.
