THEORY VALIDATION!!
If you look close on the console, the commandsa and their outputs have home looking through files and such through the command line and finding "Ragatha.dat" this confirms that she is an ai or copy.
I'm gonna go pretty far with these. Just think about these and take them with agrain of salt.
Also with their torture scenes, precopy ragatha got a knife thrown at her, possibly causing injury. Familial abuse seemed prominent in her life.
There was a picture from the driver's perspective in episode 7, and in this episode (8) we saw him being humiliated by the cast and being bullied. I put this together (in pre-copy jaxs) as he was humiliated at a party, and drove away pretty traumatized. (If he was trans I kinda interpret the tearing of his skin being the reveal of certain secondary sexual characteristics after having clothes torn off at a party.) If he ran over someone by accident or crashed, I'm not sure, but my gut says something or someone ended tragically.
In the previous episodes, gangle got ran over by a truck and wanted to be an artist. I keep thinking that pre-copy gangle had a job as a fast food manager, and after leaving work one day, got hit by one, and was turned paralyzed from the neck down. (Wouldn't you try a game where you only needed a helmet to play in her condition?)
Pomni and zooble didn't have any thing relevant to the things they said they remembered in prev episodes. (I.e zooble being a bartender, and pomni exploring abandoned buildings.) Only body dymorphia, and trauma from a dead friend.
You could say that they died from their trauma and accidents, but for some reason this seem laughable to me. Would you scan a corpses brain for a personality? (Scratch had a tumor and had their file dated in the 1990s, although he was a genius, this seems implausible as an explanation.) I fully accept I might be wrong here.
I have pieces of a theory that might be there but no way to fit them. Kinger describes scratch as abstract and Caine looked very guilty about deleting someone. Maybe Caine accidentally caused abstraction by deleting someone or something? Again, total shot in the dark.
If they are copies from a dead persons brain, it would make sense that they have missing memories, and that a company would use the data gathered for ai research, and that the programmers would offer to be scans as tests. But they all remember a helmet going on top of their heads (I think...) so how would that kill them? Is the copy process destructive? No. The circus can't be a botched afterlife, and the bits we got from what they remembered may point to the reasons they even got to the circus. Also, what is powering the computer they are on if the facility is truly abandoned and not just secret?
Also I feel as if not leaving a backup to prevent loss of data due to accidental deletion from human error (toy story) on a precious ai that may be the key to better entertainment would be foolish, so Caine could be reloaded.
If there is no explicitly intended exit process, there might be an issue about escaping. Escaping to where? Being copied back into their bodies? Why? If you're researching ai, why would they need to be copied back? I think they can't and have to make a new place for themselves, not governed by Caine. They aren't completely screwed, just can't go back to real, and are confined.
I think I wanna learn hacking just so I can leak servers from GLITCH just to see the last episode man. I'm gonna try to forget tadc for a while, and focus on another show. (Lol Ya'll watch invincible?)
Tldr, the stuff the cast has seen or said can now be used to properly see how they got the damned helmets on, the episode 8 console proves that at least ragatha is copied, and highly implies that the cast is too, and unless there is something to be seen, they might not have an exit, and shouldn't drive themselves insane.
Thanks for reading!
