Desolation wilderness crowds?

My partner and I have permits to backpack in the desolation wilderness in two weeks. Neither of us have ever been there and we are worried about social distancing on the trail. Are the trails crowded? Are there any areas that we might want to avoid due to crowds?

edit: thanks for the advice. Sounds like distancing will be hard, we are considering other options.
