Where to stay when attending NTNU

Hello everyone, from the start of december I will attend a mandarin course at the NTNU training centre. Understanding that Da'an is a more expensive and very sought after district, are there any other districts that you would recommend for renting a room? I have been scanning the larger facebook groups which seem to have plenty to offer every month and I have looked on google maps which districts are not to far from NTNU by public transport. But as of right now i have no idea if those districts will have any shared rooms avaliable by that time, as most will be shared rooms will be advertised around october or november.

NTNU being 15-20 minutes away by public transport wouldn't be a problem for me.Would love to hear some suggestions or feedback, thanks in advance.
