Tamagotchi Forever Notifications??

I've already sent this to devs but wondering is anyone else is experiencing this too. I'm not getting any notifications from the app at all about my Tama needing to go to the bathroom, feeling tired, hungry, etc. I thought maybe it was because I just got the Android 8.0 upgrade, but I remembered it doing the same thing on nougat. I've already cleared app cache, did a phone factory reset a while ago, made sure notifications were on in the app, etc.
