Do protocols exist to cover the possibility of a tank fighting with an incomplete crew?

I’m a lurker here, but I can’t find the answer to a question I thought up. Do or have trainings existed for a crew to fight while incomplete? It seems to be a likely scenario in a battlefield situation. Taking hits, extreme emergency sorties, or just a general lack of tankers. It feels like something armies will have encountered.
