Did I just need to chill out/lighten up?
Why, yes. Yes I do.
Card 1: situation, 2 of pentacles. I'm balancing too much. Therapy for healing to break toxic behaviors, newish position at work, masters classes, exploring buying a house. Need to reevaluate and cut something, probably the pursuit of the home purchase. After a deep audit of my finances, need to clean some things up in the ol' piggy bank. It's good, not quite good enough for comfort.
Card 2: obstacle. The hierophant (reversed). My new job is a little more confining than my last one. I had more individual decision making freedom in the previous role. It's not a leadership/culture thing. I went from technical writing to staffing analytics. I was unprepared for just how much more different the roles would be, and it's a tough mental adjustment. More rules and processes than I'm used to. Also the house thing, I was disappointed with and mad at myself for being so loose with my finances. On paper, my household income and this price of the home should work, however my budgetary habits currently make it unfeasible and will take more time than a month to establish better habits. Also, I'm 40. I feel shame from being this age and not owning a home especially since I have a family. But when asking myself about it, I think it's more from societal norms creating that narrative in my head instead of external sources hitting me with it in actuality.
Card 3: advice. 5 of cups (reversed). Yes, chill out dogeatingbanana. Have some grace on yourself and accept that past missteps are common and learning and growth is what matters. It's hard, it's supposed to be. Focus on self-care and the things that matter now to create a foundation of future peace and stability, both emotionally and financially. Literally no use crying over spilled cups.
