Dragon Tattoo Color Advice Needed
I am about two weeks out from getting a new tattoo. My left arm currently has a red koi fish and a "white" and red nine-tailed fox. I plan to get a dragon opposite the koi fish. I submitted Haku from Ghibli as a reference (its just the style of dragon that I like - I'm not actually asking for Haku) and my artist always does her own designs, so I don't know exactly what it is going to look like yet but probably similar to what is here. All my tattoos are color and I wanted some ideas as to what color to get. My artist says it is up to me when I asked for her opinion.
I also eventually want to get 1-2 red crowned cranes on my upper arm which are mostly white/red/black so there is really an unintentional color theme going on here. Should I pick red to "match"? Or black? Or is that just too much of the same color on my arm. Or should I go with traditional tattoo color meanings - red dragons (fierceness), blue dragons (benevolent/forgiving), black (wise/experienced), green (nature), yellow (noble), gold (value/virtue). For some reason, I'm hesitating about getting green or blue even though I think the tattoo itself would look great - I feel like all of them together would look messy with that many assorted bright colors in different tattoos. Am I wrong? Opinions needed, please!
Edit: New tattoo is outlined and sakura is done after first session. I'm still having a heck of a time deciding on colors and I'm still taking recommendations. Sorry to be so whiny - definitely not my usual - but I don't want to screw this up. In-shop, my artist still doesn't care, another artist said blue. Blue would be awesome, but not feeling it with the other two tattoos already there plus the cranes I plan I think it disrupts flow. I am tossing around a jade-color (not bright, kelly green, but a rich jade green). But there are 4-5 different colors needed: body, mane, underbelly, and claws/horns and every time I photoshop it with color it looks horrendous.
