Vacation pictures: Sri Lankan Tea fields

So I am lucky enough to be married to a Sri Lankan and we went to Sri Lanka back in December to visit her family and travel around the island.

As a lover of tea I wanted to share photos of the tea fields I saw. It was super beautiful with the misty weather! I just wanted to share because Ceylon tea is a hidden gem of tea and I feel like it needs more representation.

These are near an area called Hatton which is between Kandy (center of the island) and Nuwara Eliya (west of Kandy). The entire trip to nuwara eliya is an uphill climb and at a certain point everything becomes tea shrubs. I also saw Tamil workers which still pick the tea by hand.
